During Boston's smallpox epidemic of 1779, a doctor who is struggling with his faith discovers he can weigh the soul.

Inspired by true events, The Lost Journal of Vice Marceaux is the tragic story of a doctor who lost his family to a smallpox epidemic. Desperate for anything concrete to give him meaning, Vice discovers an unexplainable loss of 21 grams when a patient dies while he is weighing her.

He has discovered he can weigh the human soul at the moment of death. But some prayers should not be answered.
