The crew prepares one of the largest shots of the film: an establishing shot with over 17 patients, 3 nurses, and Father Atkin. This shot was eventually cut from the film.

Melody Partridge (Key Smallpox Makeup Artist) applies smallpox to Darin Singleton (Vice Marceaux). Darin got quite involved with the process and spent hours applying smallpox to his hands and arms.
